TWEED HEADS

Location

Situated in northern New South Wales, and located close to the Queensland border, 104km south east of Brisbane and 830km north of Sydney.

 

The Region

The Tweed area boasts 37kms of natural coastline, scenic wetlands, national parks, a flourishing arts community and easy access to a diverse range of attractions.

The two main shopping centres include a movie complex and a multitude of major national stores as well as local specialty shops.  Sports enthusiasts are well provided for, lots of sports fields, excellent golf courses, plenty of swimming pools, including indoor pools and the swimming and surfing beaches which make the area so famous. Recreational fishing is also very popular, from the river, beach or estuaries of the area.

Coolangatta International Airport is located within 10kms on the Gold Coast an easy 15 minute drive from Tweed Heads. Buses are available from Surfside Buslines and Gold Coast Tourist Shuttle.
